A key feature of the installation is its side-view X-ray configuration. Unlike conventional systems that use a vertical beam orientation, the Wipotec solution scans products horizontally, enabling inspection through the shortest path of the can. This setup is particularly effective for milk powder packaging and helps deliver highly accurate contaminant detection, even for products that include larger plastic caps and enclosed scoops.
The system is also equipped with a robust chain conveyor and dedicated reject conveyor, ensuring smooth product handling while reducing the risk of can damage during rejection. Designed for demanding production environments, the machine combines performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
Despite space limitations within the production area, Wipotec adapted the installation with a compact machine design and a remotely mounted HMI, allowing operators convenient and ergonomic access to controls without compromising workflow efficiency.
