Similarly, in communities with prevalent iron deficiency anaemia, iron-fortified beverages aid in combatting this challenge. Available in diverse forms (like fruit juices, milk, plant-based alternatives, sports drinks, and water) fortified beverages cater to various tastes and dietary preferences. They provide a practical solution for individuals with busy lifestyles or limited access to fresh, nutrient-rich foods. Valuable as a supplementation strategy, they benefit vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, children, the elderly, and individuals with specific health conditions.
