Sula Vineyards has won the ‘Most Innovative HR Practices Award 2020 by the HR Association of India. The awards are organised by HRAI to recognise the best initiatives and practices in the Human Resources industry in the country. There were 314 nominations across 10 different categories. The list includes HR professionals and organisations from multiple sectors.

The brand introduced a revolutionary employee care initiative, ‘We Care’. This initiative has helped its people sail through the pandemic period, rise to the opportunities of learning, and reinvent themselves by participating in a series of transformational activities. The brand works with a ‘People First Approach’. All leaders are deeply committed to the development of their teams.

Chaitanya Rathi, COO, Sula Vineyards, said, “This recognition is a testament of how we adapted our HR systems to the new normal, to create positive experiences for all our employees. We are proud of the culture we have established. Our priority was the protection of our employees even before the spread of Covid-19 reached the levels of a pandemic. We will continue our focus on the safety and well-being of our team.”

Some of the initiatives include the ‘We Care Assistance helpline’ that enabled employees to reach out to the HR team for any assistance – professional, emotional, or medical. A customised online learning programme was introduced to leverage digital platforms to help employees learn new skills and keep themselves motivated. The brand has also extended its health insurance to cover treatment and hospitalisation due to Covid-19.

The Happy Hours Session – which is a virtual fun team building activity that makes it a good opportunity to unwind. It also gave employees a platform to discuss any ideas, suggestions, or put forth any inhibitions. Under the ‘We Care Initiative’ the brand also plans to reach out to approximately 100 employees in a quarter and ensure their physical and mental well-being
