Parle Biscuits has appointed former PepsiCo executive George Kovoor as its chief executive officer, effective 1 September 2026. Kovoor becomes the first CEO of the privately held company, which is looking to strengthen its leadership as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

Kovoor brings more than three decades of experience at PepsiCo, where he held senior leadership roles across consumer businesses and multiple markets. His roles included senior vice-president and general manager of India Beverages and senior vice-president for Global Foodservice Customers. He also held leadership positions in China and across sales and business transformation.

The appointment brings an experienced external executive into the top management of Parle Biscuits, which has traditionally been led by the promoter family. Managing Director Ajay Chauhan said Kovoor’s experience in driving results, developing talent and managing complex markets would help the company strengthen its capabilities and identify new growth opportunities.

Kovoor most recently founded Ask GeKo Advisory LLP, a strategic advisory firm serving consumer goods, food and beverage, private equity and B2B businesses. He had previously spent more than 30 years with PepsiCo, with experience spanning India, China, Asia-Pacific and global operations.
