Since establishing its office in India in 2009, NSF has worked diligently to increase consumer trust in products, bolster local food safety and production quality and support clients with entering international markets and gaining competitive advantages.

NSF has achieved significant milestones since entering the APAC market, including:

  • NSF expanded its services to offer pharma biotech consulting and training in 2017, responding to increased demands from India’s growing pharmaceutical industry.
  • In 2022, it launched the HACCP Compliance Verified (HCV)-India program, a registration program for food equipment manufactured in the country based on India’s legal requirements and standards. It verified its first two companies in 2023.
  • NSF India certified its first client to NSF Guideline 533 in September of 2023, setting precedence for safer ingredient use among drinking water product manufacturers.
  • In 2024, it certified the first company in APAC to meet NSF’s Global Animal Wellness Standard.
  • In March of 2024, leaders Jyoti Bhasin, Harold Chase and B.B. Singh led NSF’s first-ever US Department of Commerce Trade Mission to India as part of the Clean EDGE (Enhancing Development and Growth through Clean Energy) and Environmental Technologies Business Development Mission delegation.

Over the past 15 years, NSF India has played a significant role in driving business growth across different divisions, including Food, Water and Health Sciences making it an important contributor to the APAC region.
