Kundli, Haryana, and Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, like cities, will serve as centres of excellence in food science and technology. This is because MoFPI and NIFTEM have established many campuses in these areas.
If we take a look at Kundli, it was recognised as a deemed university in May 2012. They offer food industry-related academic programs and research opportunities. Innovative and practical solutions are the USP of this institute.
On the other hand, NIFTEM has established a state-of-the-art Food Processing Business Incubation Centre in Thanjavur. Union Minister Shri Chirag Paswan inaugurated this facility. They primarily focus on providing modern infrastructure and support services to startups.
All these factors show MoFPI’s broader vision and how their collaboration with NIFTEM will strengthen institutions and support human resource development in the food processing sector. Through this, they will definitely equip professionals with the necessary skills and come up with an optimal environment for research and entrepreneurial growth.
