Hershey has announced its latest Reese’s Cups launch that will see the chocolate coating swapped for a peanut butter candy-flavoured shell.
Reese’s new Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cups will be available in the US from early April for a limited time in standard, king size and miniature formats.
With no chocolate, the new Cups feature Reese’s peanut butter inside and a 100% peanut butter candy-flavoured shell.
The brand says the new product is the “most extreme, peanut buttery version of its iconic Peanut Butter Cups” and comes on the heels of its pretzel-filled Cups. .
“While launching a Reese’s Cup with absolutely no chocolate might come as a shock, we’re giving the truest peanut butter fans something to go wild about,” said Margo McIlvaine, Reese’s brand manager.
“The frenzy that comes with changing an icon like the Reese’s Cup is real – but you can still enjoy the classic plus get more peanut butter flavour with a new option that’s every peanut butter lover’s dream,” she added.
Reese’s Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cups will roll out at retailers nationwide in early April for a limited time.
