The participants of this training program were chefs and food handlers working with this esteemed organisation. This one-day training program comprised of the presentations, tasks & demonstration and evaluation at the end.
Auriga research is an empanelled FoSTaC training partner to facilitate the Food Safety Supervisor trainings to individuals working in the food industry.
The FoSTaC Food Safety Supervisor courses have been divided into three levels. The basic level training courses are meant for small food businesses which includes Street Food Vending, Catering, Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution, Storage & Transport. The Advanced training courses are for State & Central Licensed food businesses which include Catering, Manufacturing, Storage & Transport and Retail & Distribution. The Special training courses have been developed for high-risk food business or the food business which requires special attention. The special training courses include; Milk & Milk Products, Animal Meat & Meat Products, Poultry Meat & Meat Products, Fish & Fish Products, Packaged Water & Water Based Beverages, Bakery (Level 1), Bakery (Level 2), Edible Oil and Fat, Health Supplements & Nutraceuticals.
The guidelines of Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) envisages that all food businesses having either Central License or State License should have at least one trained and certified “Food Safety Supervisor” for every 25 food handlers in each of their premises. The supervisors would carry out periodic training of all food handlers in the premises and maintain records of food safety audit and inspections. Accordingly, Auriga will provide this training for the Food Safety Supervisor certification.
