The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has invited bids from traders for auction of undersize and graded paddy.

The bids were invited for auction of approximately 308 quintals of undersized paddy of different basmati varieties available at the Basmati Export Development Foundation (BEDF) centre in Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the notice issued by APEDA, BEDF, which is a society registered under APEDA, has invited bids for auction of approximate 230.0 quintals undersized paddy of different basmati varieties and approximate 78.0 quintals basmati graded paddy available at BEDF, SVP-University of Agriculture and Technology Campus, Meerut.

The traders can submit their bids by September 3 by 5pm to the Director (BEDF) Basmati Export Development Foundation (APEDA, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India) SVP University of Agriculture and Technology, (Old Campus) NH-58, Roorkee Road, Modipuram, Meerut, U.P.

The notice adds further that the paddy sample may be viewed on any day during the working hours, while the format of bid may be downloaded from the APEDA website, the successful bidders need to lift the entire lot in seven days, from the date of awarding of the bid
