Functional ingredients manufacturer Beneo is expanding its chicory root fibre and rice starch portfolios, as the company unveiled two new organic ingredients.
The new Remyline O AX DR organic waxy rice starch will launch globally from July. The ingredient is suitable for fruit preparations, meat and poultry applications and dairy products such as yogurts.
Beneo claims that the ingredient contains no amylose and therefore delivers better stability and less syneresis, making it easier to maintain a stable texture throughout a product’s shelf life.
Meanwhile, the new Orafti Organic chicory root fibre ingredient will be available from September. The ingredient will allow manufacturers to add natural prebiotic fibres to improve the taste and texture of dairy, cereal, bakery and confectionery products; while also allowing for fat and sugar reduction.
