WAAYU is growing among the masses as India’s zero-commission food delivery app. They are now scaling up and have added 25 more cities to their services list. Along with this, their goal is to onboard 10,000 restaurants within six months and 100,000 over three years. This strategic move will help them target 30% of India’s online food delivery market.
This initiative also supports high profit margins for local restaurants, so they can also offer high-quality meals at competitive prices. Before this, restaurants had very little control over online operations that were given back to them by WAAYU.
Plus, they have partnered with ONDC along with Tata Neu, OLA, Paytm, Pidge, and Bajaj Finserv-like platforms, giving an edge to their performance. This will help them improve customers’ experiences. That will affect their overall performance from restaurant discovery to last-mile delivery.
This less than 2-year-old startup has been able to onboard over 3,000 restaurants across major Indian cities. Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad were already on their radar. Now, they are targeting other big cities with this strategy. This will also create employment opportunities in this sector.
WAAYU’s co-founder and CEO, Mandar Lande, highlights its impact on the Indian food delivery market while promoting the USP—zero commission fees.
Overall, they are fully aware of their moves and can actually revolutionise Indian food delivery as a sustainable and profitable alternative for restaurants and a cost-effective option for consumers.
