This CoE will be located close to Suhana’s existing facility in Sangareddy, which is one of the chilli processing units in the country. Here, they will train around 25,000-30,000 farmers within the next 3 years. They will make sure that their farmers can meet international standards for spice production.
Eco-friendly farming practices are something beyond the training they are offering. Plus, the CoE will also collaborate with many industry partners for better technology and practices.
This initiative was announced in a meeting that took place during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. The CEO of Suhana Masala said, “Our goal is not just to improve the quality of spices but to uplift the lives of farmers, empowering them with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. By combining innovation with sustainability, we are committed to ensuring that Telangana becomes a global leader in high-quality spice production.”
Overall, we can say that this partnership is part of a broader strategy to promote sustainable agriculture and rural development. This is just the beginning of such CoEs throughout the nation.
