Buyers from all over the world were present during the inauguration. More than that, Baba Ramdev was the guest of honour.
The Union Food Processing Industries Minister, Mr. Paswan, in his address, said, “Over the years, Indusfood has emerged as one of India’s finest and most globally recognised trade exhibitions, providing international market linkages for the F&B sector and providing a strong impetus to India’s F&B exports. It is a visionary step by the Trade Promotion Council of India to transform Indusfood into a comprehensive farm-to-fork trade fair.”
They also announced that there will be 100 new food testing laboratories across the country, which was also mandated in the Union Budget. Irradiation techniques were also part of the discussion—solutions for perishable food items’ shelf life. Mainly, Mr. Paswan highlighted the ways of bridging policy gaps and supporting the sector’s growth.
Overall, this event featured more than 1,800 exhibitors, including over 180 international participants and approximately 20 country pavilions. This will definitely let Indusfood 2025 redefine the possibilities within the food and beverage industry.
