Commenting on the meat industry, Mr. Siddhant Wangdi, Founder, Meatigo.com said, “The space is not an easy one for everyone to start as it requires in-depth knowledge in sourcing, processing & innovation while having a strong supply/cold chain & fresh chain management at every step. Having a founding team with over 30+ years’ experience in meat sourcing, processing & handling helped us to kick start Meatigo.com and over time our consumer research & innovation led strategy has helped us fine tune our offerings to provide customers with products that set us apart from both unorganized & organized players.”
The company caters to a unique audience who have been largely ignored and provide them quality & hygienic meat options that are not easily available in the market boasting of a range of 150+ meats including raw Pork, Duck, Exotic Meats, 60+ fresh Deli Meat options, Imported Cold Cuts & Ready to Eat offerings like Momos, Kebabs & Burger Patties.
He adds, “It’s no surprise that Meatigo.com has the highest the average order value of Rs 1,250 – 3X the competitors in the market!”
The company has been funded internally so far and now aims to raise funds for the first time this financial year. The company plan to grow further by expanding our distribution hubs in the 3 cities we are present in and have plans to expand to 2 more cities.
Regarding the funding, Siddhant adds, “We’re also in talks with various investors to raise funds and be part of the growth journey. Our focus from very early on has been to create a profitable & sustainable business model in this industry and we plan to keep the same strategy going ahead.”
