The fast-food chain has tested a new bacon roll against others already available on the high street and it was voted one of the best. So the baguette style bacon roll is out, and the new sourdough bun with three rashers of bacon will be available from Wednesday, June 26.
It still comes with your choice of brown sauce or ketchup, reports The Mirror.
A Mirror reporter who tried the new bacon roll said: “With lashings of bacon, a soft, bouncy bun that hasn’t been sat under an industrial lamp for the past twenty minutes, and the same serving size of sauce you slather on at home, their latest creation is a world away from the previously dry baguette with a singular sliver of parched pork we were used to being served up at the drive-thru.
“Imitating a home-made breakfast butty – the pinnacle of what all bacon sandwiches should be weighed up against – this has all the freshness and lavish meaty ratios you’re used to serving up in your own kitchen, apart from now you don’t have to do any washing up.”
