Manpasand Beverages Limited has partnered with one of the largest PET recycling companies in India, GEM Enviro Management in order to support the government’s initiative of EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) for plastic waste management. With this association, GEM Enviro will help Manpasand Beverages with the necessary infrastructure to recycle PET bottles in Maharashtra.
Abhishek Singh, Director, Manpasand Beverages Limited said while commenting on this association, “Our customer’s health and wellbeing have always been the foremost guiding principles at Manpasand.” He also added, “Manpasand has always embraced every initiative that has enhanced the customer’s and the society’s interest at large. Thus, we completely support and second the government’s vision of sustainable implementation of the plastic waste management and pledge to create a healthier environment by thoroughly embracing and implementing this PET recycling initiative.”
Singh also mentioned, “Manpasand looks forward to implementing the programme across India, in the coming years.” He also added that how the company is working on other alternative sustainable packaging solutions that create less waste and are completely recyclable, reusable and renewable.
Sachin Sharma, Director, GEM Enviro Management Pvt Ltd. said while expressing their happiness on the alliance with Manpasand Beverages Limited, “GEM Enviro Management will help Manpasand Beverages to fulfil its EPR obligation as per the PWM 2016 and Maharashtra State Government Notifications regarding the same. To achieve this, we will set up sufficient infrastructure involving collection centres, RVM’s etc. throughout the state of Maharashtra in the next 4-6 months. We will strive to ensure that Manpasand Beverages will become PET neutral in Maharashtra within 8-12 months.”
