Kraft Heinz has signed a distribution partnership with Indo Nissin Foods. It took place after the divestment of its consumer brands business to Ahmedabad-based Zydus Wellness.
With the effect of this partnership, Kraft Heinz’s existing products like ketchup and new launches will be distributed now on through Indo Nissin. The Indo Nissin is the Indian subsidiary of diversified Japanese food maker Nissin Food Products.
Gautam Sharma, Managing Director, said, “Indo Nissin is the famous brand with its products Cup Noodles and Top Ramen. The company has a distribution network of 250,000 stores and the partnership will help expand business outreach.”
As per the media reports Kraft Heinz was in talks with potential distribution partners, last year.
Sankalp Potbhare, Managing Director of Kraft Heinz said, “The partnership will target multiple channels like retail, modern trade and e-commerce distribution. Late last year, Kraft Heinz sold off its non-core brands Complan, Glucon-D, Nycil and Sampriti to Zydus Wellness and its parent Cadila Healthcare for Rs 4,595 crore.”
Kraft Heinz is the world’s fifth largest food and beverages company with over 200 brands including Heinz condiments, Bakers chocolate and Maxwell House coffee. After this divestment, Kraft Heinz is only left with ketchup in India.
