Godrej Nature’s Basket stores in Mumbai has launched Kefir Culture, a superfood of probiotic drinks with over 30 strains of probiotics within the culture.
The Kefir Culture tastes slightly tart and tangy and its consistency is similar to that of effervescent yoghurt or buttermilk, but if talking about its benefits they are far exceeding any yoghurt. It is a rich source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, iron and calcium and has numerous health benefits like immunity; healthy gut; bowel movements; skin condition and many more.
Aakanksha Patel, the co-founder of Kefir Culture, said on the launch of this product, “Since the beginning of time, we’ve been told about what we should eat. Food that is good and bad, what time to start and when to fast – some calories even became negative; and while the mood of my calories intrigues me, I knew there had to be something more to nutrition than meets the eye.”
She also added, “That’s when Ricky, my co-founder and long-time comrade, introduced me to kefir and the concept of gut health. Evidently, while it’s necessary to form and maintain good eating habits– the root to most problems, be it acidity, excess weight gain or loss, stress, depression, constipation, loose motions, IBS, lactose intolerance and several others, actually starts with gut health. It’s no wonder that probiotics are currently the talk of the town. Except, kefir is no normal probiotic.”
The product is available in five flavours: natural, banana, strawberry, raspberry and mixed berry in individual bottles of 180 ml. The natural kefir bottle is priced at Rs 89 and the flavours cost Rs 99.
