The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is going to organise the first three-day ‘National Eat Right Mela’ from December 14-16, 2018, at IGNCA, India Gate, New Delhi. Talking about the National Eat right Mela, the food regulator said that the aim of the Mela is to make people aware of safe and healthy eating habits.
The main highlights of the event will be that various street food vendors from different parts of the country would be there to attend/participate in the event.
The Eat Right Mela would provide a very good platform to have an opportunity to know everything one needs to know about safe food and healthy diets, including quick tests for adulterants, health and nutrition benefits of different types of food, and dietary advice by experts. It will also serve a complete food experience for the entire family.
This event would give an opportunity to allow the citizens to engage in conversations with experts such as chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Dr Shikha Sharma, Prof Pushpesh Pant on various subjects related to food. It will also allow people to enjoy live demonstrations on ‘healthy cooking’ by celebrity chefs like Manjit Gill and Rakesh Sethi. People can enjoy the diverse flavours of the country with live music, dance and theater performances.
