India Food Safety & Summit Awards 2018 was held on December 6-7 at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport Service Road, New Delhi. The event was organised by Synnex Business Media Pvt. Ltd.
The Agenda of this year’s two-day Summit was “Ensuring Safety from Farm to Fork”.
The Summit started with a keynote address on regulatory and policy initiatives by FSSAI to improve the food safety and quality standards in India. This time there were 283 delegates from food safety professionals, including processors, distributors, retailers, food service operators, regulators, etc., There were 52 speakers from the industry and 12 exhibitors.
This Summit served as an ideal interaction platform for the government regulators and industry partners.The Summit, which successfully brought the entire ecosystem of the Food Safety and Food Processing industry under one roof to network, gain insight, share knowledge and discuss the best practices in food quality and safety systems with FSSAI’s instrumentation standards and changes, was one of its kind summit in India.
The main highlights of the Summit included corporate presentations by industry professionals on various aspects of food safety and various brain-storming panel sessions to address issues like food safety and quality in dairy; technology innovation in ensuring food safety and quality; panel sessions by decision makers on HACCP, customer service excellence, regulatory framework and policies; a panel session on role of technology in transforming the food and beverage industry; and a special CXO panel on the future of Indian food industry, etc.
The two-day Summit closed with the food safety excellence award ceremony. Dr A.K. Tyagi from Haldirams Snacks India Ltd. was awarded as CEO of the year. Britannia Industries Ltd. was awarded as food company of the year. Patanjali Foods Pvt. Ltd., was awarded company of the year, and many more.
