Danone, the North American, yogurt giant announced today that they were able to achieve zero waste goals in their facility in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The announcement comes after an analysis which shows that they have been able to keep 4.7 tons of waste of out of the wasteland this year.
Danone, the company behind dozens of dairy, non-dairy and speciality food products believes in sustainability and that is one of the core values of the company. The company websites states, “at Danone, we believe that each time we eat and drink, we can vote for the world we want.”
Zero waste and sustainability is not the first thing that comes to mind when we’re opening a pack of yogurt but for Danone, it has already been taken care of, and even buying a pack promotes sustainability as they are taking drastic measures to go zero waste.
Danone has set an ambitious goal of becoming carbon neutral by the end of 2050. And are already going ahead with their sustainable plans.
