Halo Top has launched three new flavours in dairy-free ice-cream. Dairy free ice cream is becoming very popular among the vegan and people who prefer it because of dairy allergies. So many popular brands offering vegan flavours such as So Delicious has many flavours of vegan ice cream and frozen mousse; Target and Ben & Jerry’s have also released vegan ice cream.
The three new dairy-free flavours that will be added to the vegan range that Halo Top are: Mint Fudge Cookie, Chocolate Hazelnut and Peanut Butter and Jelly. These ice creams are made with a coconut milk base. Every pint of the ice cream contains 280-360 calories and plenty of protein.
Zenda Trieu of Halo Top says, “These are DEFINITELY some of our best non-dairy/vegan by FAR.”
About Halo Top Creamery
The ice cream brand was founded in 2011 by former attorney Justin Woolverton of Latham & Watkins LLP. Woolverton, who had hypoglycaemic diet restrictions, began making ice cream in his own kitchen. The company is currently run by Woolverton and Doug Bouton, President and COO. Woolverton met Bouton, another former attorney, in a Los Angeles lawyers’ basketball league.
Halo Top launched in Los Angeles on June 15, 2012, and is currently sold throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. In July 2017, Halo Top became the best-selling ice cream pint at grocery stores in the United States, surpassing in popularity the Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen-Dazs brands, which previously held that distinction for years. The company describes its product as the first ever “lifestyle” ice cream that can be eaten daily without overwhelming a typical caloric intake diet.
