Burger King takes on Starbucks by offering a subscription-based coffee model

Burger King is taking on the big coffee vendors like Starbucks. For this Burger King is offering them an affordable subscription-based alternative. This is going to start today where the Burger King app users can sign up for the BK Café Coffee subscription. This is going to cost $5 per month. The guests can enjoy a small hot brewed cup of Arabica coffee every single day at participating restaurants.

For the promotion of this offer, Burger King takes a jab at global java giant Starbucks and its prices in an ad that states, “Enjoy BK Café for a month for the price of a large cappuccino from Starbucks.”

You need to download the BK app, from where you can get the available $5 subscription. Those who do can use the offers tab on the BK app to sign up and open the app daily to redeem their small cup of brewed coffee.

Commenting on this new subscription-based alternative, Burger King’s North America president Chris Finazzo said, “We continue to leverage technology to enhance our guests experience in our restaurants. We are proud to launch our own subscription service where guests can now enjoy a hot cup of coffee every day for just $5 a month.”
