Yet Another Issue of Bad Food Pops-Up

Days after a defence personnel posted a video online that led to widespread rage from public, Kerala CRPF personnel had to face the brunt of bad quality food. Around 400 CRPF personnel were rushed to a hospital recently after consuming food. All the 400 security personnel were admitted to various hospitals a few days ago soon after they complained of an upset stomach and vomiting.

These jawans were served fish for dinner. A total of 109 jawans were under observation at Trivendrum medical college hospital and health minister KK Shylaja visited them late on that night. The hospital superintendent said that four among the many admitted in the hospital were brought to them in a serious condition but had quickly responded to the treatment given to them. Most of the jawans were discharged by the next day. All these men were trainees from different parts of the country.

The quality of food served to the paramilitary personnel has been a matter of debate after a Border Security Force man posted a video, complaining about the quality of food being served. Another video that went viral suggested that the paramilitary forces were not given the same facilities as the army. The soldier had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention.
