Raw Pressery, India’s first and largest clean-label beverage company, received a new round of funding worth $10 million from its three partners – Sequoia India, Saama Capital and DSG Consumer Partners.
This was a follow-up to the last raised $6 million from the three existing investors in April 2017. The company plans to use the capital to build Asia’s largest cold-pressed juice facility, and the investments to expand its international footprint and strengthen its distribution and supply chain, as it looks to scale new offerings.
Founded in 2014 by Anuj Rakyan, Raw Pressery has now become a household favourite across a vast quality-conscious customer base for its offering of high-quality products with zero additives that are also convenient.
The company has grown 120 per cent in financial year (FY) 2018 and is looking to grow revenues by about 112 per cent in FY 2019. The clean-label beverage brand is geographically also looking to expand its retail touch points in India to 6,000 by the end of FY 2019 from the current 2,000 that it is available in.
Juices and smoothies, which form about 90 per cent of the revenues, constitute the core business for Raw Pressery, which has introduced newer categories, including nut milk, probiotics and soups.
